Yes that's a real personDeep within the recently completed Large Hadron Collider in CERN lies the enormous ATLAS Detector. The collider is the largest ever built and took thousands of scientists from over thirty countries to design and build. The ATLAS Detector itself is tasked with observing the Higgs-Boson particle aka the God Particle, as seen in this very sciency Feynman Diagram.
